Southern Italy - The Ionian coast of Calabria 

Calabria is one of areas in Italy that is least visited by tourists. This means that you will experience an atmosphere that is very relaxed, unspoiled and hospitable – and extremely Italian!

The few people who travel Italy thoroughly all the way to the toe of the peninsula do not regret it (…) This region is called Calabria. The capital is called Reggio di Calabria, located right next to the Strait of Messina, separating Italy from Sicily.

It sounds like a travel folder, but really it is just a kind of forgotten and hidden truth. The place is not very known among the European charter tourists since – fortunately – the area is not yet ready for mass tourism and is not visited very often by tourists in cars as it is located at the very bottom of the European continent (…).

As regards the landscape, Calabria is a natural paradise surrounded by 800 kilometres of coast with all types of beaches.”

The house is situated at the Badolato Marina, close to Soverato.

It is highly recommendable to drive out to visit the mountain villages nearby – e.g. Badolato di Montagne just 6 km away. Here you will experience an all-Italian atmosphere for all your money’s worth in the small streets of the village and a view that will take your breath away.
